"Come Home for Christmas"








“COME HOME FOR CHRISTMAS”
Friday, November 28 beginning at 5:30 pm in Downtown Greenville.
The evening will begin with carolers (Greenville High School Choir) as well as Santa and his reindeer, in a procession around the square to light the shop windows and a large Christmas tree on the courthouse lawn. After the lighting ceremony, the Trolley will begin running up and down 2nd and 3rd Streets, stopping to let passengers off at the various venues. Boxes will be available to collect canned goods for the food pantry. Please bring something to share.

On the Square: Chestnuts roasting by the open fire
Cheri's Garden Room: Santa amd Mrs Santa, bring your camera
(8:30 pm Carol Sing around the piano)
Greenville Flower Shop: Story-telling, "Memories of Christmas"
Old Firehouse Emporium: Glass bead making demonstration
Globe Theater: 9:30 pm, "The Shop Around the Corner" with Jimmy Stewart
Watson's Drug: Hallmark Ornament Display
Pepin's Country Store: Santa's Reindeer, Photography opportunity
Farmland Quilting: Virgil Heimann's Toy Tractor Collection, Rug Weaving Demo
Cindy's Floral Designs: How to wrap a package and bowmaking
Senior Center: Short dramatic production of "Scrooge" and Cheese ball sale
Style and Grace: Open
Third Street Market: John Goldsmith's DeMoulin Collection
Sweetest Things: Papercutting Demonstration and Hot Chocolate Bar
AllTech: Toy Trains, including Hogwarts Express (Kevin Kaegy and Friends)

Boxes will be available to collect canned goods for the food pantry. Please bring something to share.

As the night becomes colder, reveller’s will be encouraged to come to Cheri’s Garden Room where an old fashioned carol sing will take place around the piano at 8:30 pm.
The evening will culminate with a Jimmy Stewart Christmas Movie, “The Shop Around the Corner” at the Globe Theatre. Tickets for the movie will be available at each venue.

A combined sale of local history books from Greenville and the surrounding area will take place on two Saturdays from 10-2 at the Old Firehouse Emporium, downtown Greenville. You will a variety of books (approximately 20) from many of the various historical organizations in the Bond County area. Some of the books that will be included in the sale will be:
